Profit center in sales order

Hi,

can anybody tell me from where Profit center is copied in to the sales order and what are the assignment we have to do for the profit center

Hi,

Profit Cntr has to be defined first. For example Sales organisation / sales office / sales group can be defined as profit centr depending on the business requirements.

Then there is a profit cntr assigned to the same in COPA. That is done by FICO consultants.

Then when the concerned sales organisation is called in the sales order, the profit centr data gets updated.

hi,

. Profit center can be entered at the item level in the sales order T.Code: VA01, in the Account Assignment Section.

If Profit Centre is maintained in Material Master Data, in Sales: General / Plant data, then the same will default in sales order.

Incase you also have project system configured, then the profit centre maintained in Project will supercede the profit centre maintained in material master.

If the profit centre is to be maintained manually in sales order, then select the Line Item --> go to Item detail (First Icon below all line item) --> next go to Account assignment Tab page --> Maintain Profit Centre.
