Hi JS !
It appears to be a SAP problem. If it is a BAPI that XI is executing as RFC, try to execute it directly from SAP to see if it has a problem.

Hi JS !
Basically, using XI, your third party software will make available to SAP some info. This info could be exported as a file for example or XI could execute a select query to the third party software database. Once the info is inside XI, it is mapped and converted to the expected SAP format. Then XI sends the info to SAP using one of this 3 adapters: ABAP Proxy, IDOC or RFC. Maybe in your case, XI is executing a function module (BAPI) via RFC in your R/3 system, using with values from third party system as parameters. It should be the same as entering transaction se37 in R/3, filling all the BAPI parameters and executing. According to your error, maybe the BAPI is throwing an error independently of XI, that why I suggested to directly access R/3, go to transaction SE37, locate the BAPI function module used by XI and try to simulate an execution to see if the problem is in XI or in the BAPI.

Matias.
