to transport VC model from DEV to PRD.

hi Experts,

I am trying to send the VC model from DEV to QA where i have transported the Model from DEV to QA using Transport Packages in System Administrator.

But when i preview the iview on QA it gives the error.

Portal Runtime Error

An exception occurred while processing a request for :

iView : N/A

Component Name : N/A

Could not find portal application .

Exception id: 02:43_21/12/07_0011_14574951

See the details for the exception ID in the log file

I am not sure whether this was the right way to transport the VC model.

I usually use the following method.

• Create model in DEV.

• Make sure the model deploys correctly.

• Go to file / export to file.

• Open Visual Composer in PRD.

• Create a new (blank) model.

• Go to file / import from file.

Of course in BW you need to transport the queries, variable etc also from DEV to PRD.
