SAP Netweaver 2004 SR2 Installation hanging at Creating system directories

Hi,

I am doing SAP Netweaver 2004 SR2 Installation on Solaris 10.

The Installation is stopping at "Install common system files"

without showing any error. In the Status bar of the Sapinst it is showing "Creating system directories for SAP system ".

the last step in the log file is -

INFO 2007-12-21 11:56:42 [syuxccuren.cpp:264]

CSyCurrentProcessEnvironmentImpl::setGroup(PSyGroup)

Real group id set to 101.

Can anybody help me out in solving this porblem.

The issue was resolved by running the sapinst in the foreground.

Hi chaitan,

Check your /etc/groups file for the groupid 101 , is it already been defined, or there is some permission issue.

Which userid are you using for the installation?

Does that userid have root like admin access?

Hi Siddesh,

I checked /etc/groups file for the groupid 101

the group id is not defined previously and there is no permission issue.

I am using root user which has the admin access.
