sld configuration

HI All

Recently I have installed EP 7 And also NWDS 7 Now I am trying to connecting to SAP ECC system(backend)...

Before this I was using EP 6 and NWDS 2.1

i configured the sld with the below procedure

I need to Browse to the URL

http://<FQDN>:<PORT>/SLD.

In this I need to create the technical system which specifies the ip address and other information related to the SAP ECC system...

I was sucessfully able to access the sap system..

Now,I have trouble configuring the SLD for the SAP EP 7.0 as I see many options being changed in the SLD home page of EP 7.0 compare to EP 6.0

Could any one please send me the steps how to configure the SLD for EP 7.0 TO connect to SAP ECC SYSTEM

please contact ur basis adminstrator. I think its authorization problem. Did u check ur version in the home page. tab "about" shows version number

Yeah i had the same doubt as suresh which user are you using to access SLD.

Dude verify the version you are working first. In the home page hit tab "details" which show the version number. My version number is 7.0009.20060719102106.0000. This is version 7.0 I dont know about version 6.0 and my version has tab technical details.

In the "http://hostname:port/sld"; home page you can see tab "technical systems". You can define your ECC system here.

When I open the SLD homepage I see the following tabs being displayed

Home and Administration

Under Home I see the following tabs

Basic Administration

SAP Netweaver Administration

SLD Check

Under Administration I see following tabs

SAP Netweaver Administration

SLD Check

But I do not see any tab related to Technical Systems

I am also aware that in EP 6 We see the tab Technical systems to create them
