We have a shared environment in which PR00 is bringing condition value negative, although the price is positive and the pricing procedure has no formulas or treatments to the base values. This is occurring generically, for SOs of different types, customers, materials and even unit of measures. The Sales Order Type is also of document category "C-order", which means it is not a Credit Memo.
What could be the reason for this strange behavior?
Thanks contributors for the prompt responses.
I discovered the problem... Item category was flagged as "return".

Hi,
plz check the conversion factor for currency and related details.
i too had similar probs with profit margin showing negative value.
this happens when the tax levied are in higher currency and the value we are entering in a lower currency.
e.g. tax might be in euro and price must be in dollar at the customizing level.

Hi, Siddharth.
Thanks for the reply.
It does not seem to be a conversion issue. The document currency, prices, currency of Company Code, currency of Controlling Area, are all in USD. Taxes are in USD and I put zero for this case.
The error is in the condition itself. Price is positive, but value turns negative.
Maybe I am missing something?
hi,
in v/06 on the control data 1 tab u may have maintained 'x' in plus/minus field. plz check.

Hi, Saraubh,
Thanks again.
The problem is occurring in the condition PR00 itself, not summing/subtracting values from the subsequent condition types.
Look at this:
Item 10 Application V
Condition type PR00 Price CondPricingDate 20.12.2007
Amount 100,00 USD / 1 EA
Cond.base value 1,000 EA USD
Condition value 100,00- USD 100,00-
Condition class B Prices
Calculat.type C Quantity
Condit.category
Cond.control C Changed manually
Condit.origin A Automatic pricing
Account key ERL
hi check the one which is bold
actually the price has been changed to nagetive thats why it is coming as negative
check the "condition control it has C which it has been changed manually" may be urs is a shared environment some one might have changed. Beside the condition control there will be a check box which is flagged
