is there any user defined function to calculate the difference between 2 dates from 2 differente segments in idoc.

Hi Fadel,
Please use this sample code in UDF.
Date startDate1 = new GregorianCalendar(1996, 02, 14, 14, 00).getTime();
Date endDate1 = new Date();
long diff = endDate1.getTime() - startDate1.getTime();
System.out.println((diff / (1000L60L60L*24L)) + " days.");
You can take startDate1 as the date field from 1 IDoc segment and endDate1 as the date field from 2nd IDoc segment.
Ofcourse, you need to import java.util.Date and java.util.GregorianCalendar
