i want to learn EP . ihave knowledge on java/j2EE how much it will useful and plase brief abt EP

Hi Venkat,

you just need to configure the things and there is no need for coding. I think java j2ee will be benificial for portal development(WebDynpro Java) and rest all things in portal are configuration.

i heard there is an i views that we have to implement using jsp ,servlets i think so whether we have to write any code in java /j2EE

i dnt get that configuration actual works

Hi,

Portal developer's Role: The person will code the jsps, servlets, webdynpro applications and other j2ee applications.

Portal Content Administrator: Just create iViews in portal and specify the location of the above contents being developed and deployed by the developers.

Hope, this would give you a clear distinction between them. If you are going to play both the roles then you need to code as well as configure too.
