Failed to Upload Large Catalog Files

Former Member

Hi,

We are facing a problem while uploading large catalog files ( 92 MB) using http.

The smaller files are being uploaded and transferred to XI properly. Only the larger files are getting stuck!

There doesn’t appear to be any processes active and the “load” appears to hang with no error message!

We have increased the value of the file size parameter "icm/HTTP/max_request_size_KB" to the maximum value of 2097152. But still that didnt solve the issue.

Kindly advice what we need to do, to be able to upload these catalogs successfully!

Warm Regards,

Bhaswar

Hello,

From my experience XI server not have ability to work with huge files.

The XI work excellent with huge amount of data but they need to separate this data to little quantum.

HI,

If you are using the file adapter then there is a option of splitting the huge file in to bunch of messages and then you can easily process the file.

Do let me know which adapter u r using.

Thnx

It seems that the catalog files are failing to be uploaded in SRM itself. The SRM system hangs when trying to upload, but no error message is shown! The smaller files are getting uploaded fine and are being picked up by XI.

We are using proxy in the scenario.
