PI Non-Central Adapter Engine to Central Adapter Engine

Former Member

Hello gurus,

I have installed Netweaver04s with usage type PI and done basic ABAP and Java configurations.

After that, I have run the template installer tool via Netweaver Administrator.

Now my PI looks fine and works ok, but when I log in to the RWB, my adapter engine is listed as non-central. I have not seen any steps asking me for a central or non-central instance, so I think the template installer configured it this way.

I have performed a local Netweaver installation so all parts of PI are on one host and one domain.

How can I change my adapter engine to be central?

What are the pros and cons(if any) if it stays as non-central?

Thanks,

Gökhan

I have solved the problem.

Hello,

The cause of the adapter being listed as Non-Central for me was a missing Technical System Entry for the ABAP PI (Integration Server) System entry in the SLD Business Systems. Once I selected the proper entry, a system restart showed the Adapter Engine as Central.
