Hi Experts,
When i trying to deploy application using RFC the following error appears...

What may be the reason? Please tel me.....

Hi Mathi,
There may be several reasons. But you just check in Content Management whether 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST'
is working properly using Test.
Procedure: If you have access to your server, open http://<host:port>/irj/portal -> Content Admin -> Web Dynpro. In the left side panel open your project -> Open Application (double click on it) -> Right side you can find the JCo used for this project. You can Create, Edit, Ping or Test them.
If it is in RED colour -> Create it.
If the test is successful the JCo are working fine else there is a problem. Mostly Authentication problems. Check with your basys people.

Siva

com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: User not authenticated - unable to establish JCO connection with SSO.

Hi Mathi,
Click on Edit -> Go to security settings (may be 3rd step). In this give any generic user credentials of R/3.
For your information:
For METADATA - destination we need to maitain user ID/ pwd method and give generic user ID of R/3.
For APPDATA - destination we need to give LogonTicket/SSO

Siva
Hi,
Thanks for frequent reply..Just now i finished that configuration you told above...But now i getting this error..
com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException: 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' not properly defined! Unable to create Metadata connection for Dictionary Provider. Either the logical System Name 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' has not been properly defined in the System Landscape Directory, or you are not using a MsgServerDestination (AppServerDestinations are not permitted for Metadata connections)

Hi Mathi,
By seeing this exception I am getting the intuition is that there is some thing missing in the properties of 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST or SLD. Check in SLD whether you are using correct Message Server details.
In Content Management also 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' check all properties and test whether is working properly.

Siva
Hi siva,
For WD_MODELDATA_DEST JCo ,on clicking test it is giving the following error.
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: The system is unable to interpret the SSO ticket received
But for ping it is giving success message.
For WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST Jco both ping and test are succeccful.
Still getting the same error.
Thanks & regards,
Mathi
Hi,
Only METADATA JCO will test successful with the valid UID/PWD you have provided.
The MODELDATA JCO when enabled for SSO will not test successful from the Content Administrator and only ping will succeed, if you have logged on with the Administrator user.
You can verify whether the SSO (and JCO) works by running the relevant application from portal, with a user valid in both the portal and backend systems.

Thanks for all your replies...
Problem is solved...Problem is ,we just change 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' as load balanced under dictionary Metadata...... Ans also check message server group exist under t-code SMLG in R/3.
