Error: Computer Network DEFAULT not maintained

Hi,

I 'm getting the error when I try to create a document.

Network Address DEFAULT of your computer is not maintained.

DO let me know whether I'm missing any config.

Hi Christoph/Anindya,

It has been fixed by the functional team.

But their intention is to check the basic settings related to DMS. As they find it faulty.

Could you please forward me the document related to Basic Customization ?

Hi Jyoti,

I'm glad to hear that the issue is solved.

Regarding the customizing information I would kindly recommend you to see the SAP Online Documentation under http://help.sap.com.

Under "Cross-Application-Components --> Document Management (CA-DMS)" you find all the necessary information about DMS customizing. Unfortunatly I have no other documents on DMS customizing then this.

Further I would kindly ask you to mark this issue as solved and provide points for the important information.

Hi Jyoti,

Aravinda is right. Please maintain the DEFAULT entry in table TDWD or in transaction DC20.

To maintain the DEFAULT entry please go to transaction DC20 and do the

following steps:

1. select a frontent type (e.g. PC) and mark it

2. go to "Identify frontend computers" and click on the button 'Default entry'

By making a DEFAULT entry in this table, you can identify all standard computers for which no "HOSTNAME" variable has been maintained. Otherwise you need to maintain an entry for each front end computer.

Please also notice the information given by the blue info button in transaction DC20.

DEFAULT PC DEFAULT Default for local PC
