How to query MDM ?

What are the various ways to query the MDM to check the existance of a particular record based on key value ( for example Personel number) ?

Hi Nanda,

For existence of particular Query you can run Search Parameters or Validations depending on your requirement. And if you want to find and replace/update data you can use Assignments.

If you want to assign values to a particular field after some calculations then you can use either Calculations or Assignments.

For writing Queries you will find a expersion window in Validations/Assignments/Calculation. You can type your query in this expression and the run these on the records.

1. Named searches: define the key word ( personal number ), and give expressions.

2. In free form search: keyword searach and expressions

3. you can use validations

Could you add some hint by refering which part of MDM you need to query? I mean whether it is

a)console

b) Impore manager

c) data manager

or

d) syndicator

It will help me to share some details from my end
