Hi all,
I tried to login into Visual Administrator but it is saying password has been expired.
So,can anyone help me out in this.
thanks,
kalyan
Hi Kalyan,
Activate the sap* user from config tool.Then log on
to the visual administrator using the sap* user.
then go to usermanagement and then reset the
password for your visual admin user.Once this
process is completed deactivate the sap* user.
Reward point if helpfull.

Hi Kaylan,
Just like to add to what they said.
Another alternative is to create a new user in SU01 and put the same roles in j2ee_admin.
Now log on to Visual Admin using this user.

Jeff

Hi Kalyan,
can u clear in which user id you are logging in
Let me know the instance is ABAP or JAVA or ABAP+JAVA
if it is ABAP+JAVA then,
Solution 1. Logging in the Abap Stack and with client :001 and with user: J2EE_ADMIN,
2.go SU01 -> check for the user locked/unlocked
3.if it is locked ,then unlock it
if it is Java Stack,then
with user: Administrator
2.go SU01 -> check for the user locked/unlocked
3.if it is locked ,then unlock it

Enable "SAP*"
goto configtool \usr\sap\SID\DV<insno>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat
Goto cluster-data --> Global server configuration --> services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.service
change the property "ume.superadmin.activated = TRUE"
and give the password.
Restart the engine
login to visual admin>services>security provider-->search for the user J2EE_ADMIN.reset the password.
then goto configtool deactivate sap*
restart the server
reward points if helpful.

I think you can reset the password using SU01.
