I got a KF C, which is sum of 2 other KF A + KF B, I execute the sum macro in Weekly buckets and when I check the data in monthly view, the data getting aggregated correctly for KF A and B but not KF C. All the KF aggregation setting is same. Disagg based on APODPDANT and Time based disagg Proportional allocation. I checked using 9ASTORAGE also. Your input is greately appreciated.

thx

Jeff

Ankur,

The reason we cannot schedule it in background is, the user they want to see the updated results immediately in weekly and monthly, so that they can change the No. as needed. Thx for your input.

The agg is happening correctly from weekly to monthly. But the problem is, in a selection profile, the user do some adj in weekly view and for some SKU’s in monthly level. In weekly view we got a default macro, so that they can check the total immediately. When they do adj for other SKU’s in monthly level, we got a executable macro, which they execute at monthly level for all SKU’s in selection. Which causes changes to the SKU’s they did adj in weekly level.( check the No. for 01/08, in monthly level it should be 112 instead of 102 ) As this is a promotion adj, the SKU changes every month, its not possible to execute the macro separately. Is there any way, that I can execute the macro in weekly level and monthly level and doesn’t change the No’s in either of the view. I tried with the option “Auto Column adj in macro”. It doesn’t work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do a little experiment. Just have numbers in weeks that are fully contained in the month and see if they are aggregating correctly at monthly level. Have zeroes in the weeks that cross over months, just as the first scenario. In the second scenario, just have numbers in the weeks that cross over months. Can you confirm if the summation is not happening in both the scenarios ?

Can you zero out any entries for KF C in the monthly buckets before running the job in the weekly book. If there are preexisting proportions the Aggregation will not be based on proportional settings

can you give an example of the weeks, numbers and what the months and numbers are?

Hi

As harish has rightly pointed out zeroing out the KF C is important to get the desired results. Also the following points need to be taken care of.

Macro execution in foreground sometimes gives erroneous results if it is not run at suitable drill downs. Reason might be large number of CVC's. To avoid this, create a background job of macro and schedule it at periods of minimal planning book access. Another advantage of doing this activity at background it that you have the option of selecting suitable detailing of macro execution viz. customer and material.

Once this sheduled activity gets over the aggregation should give perfect results

Do update us if doing this helps.
