spl originating feature does not work

Experts,

Our company has GTS 710 with SP 10. I have been testing the SPL check.

The originating feature in customizing does not seem to work. The originating feature for keyword name (N1) is set to 70%. The system ignores the setting. As long as there is one hit on the search term, the business partner is blocked.

For example,

The comparsion index for N1 (name) key words for one entry in Sanction Part list is:

N1 AL

N1 Foundatation

N1 Limited

N1 RAHAMA

N1 SARA

The comparsion index for business partner

N1 SARA

N1 LEE

N1 BAKERY

N1 GROUP

Minimal Similarity for N1 Keyword generated from Name

Search Term 80%

Originating Feature 70%

Allow Multiple Matches for Origin (checked)

The detail analysis for SPl check shows SARA 100% without considering

other search terms in the Name keyword. The business partner is blocked.

Any insights will be very much appreicated.

Wen

Hi Wen

The way you described your scenario it seems for me that it should not be a hit.

I understand the SPL screening as a 3 step process:

SPL

N1 AL

N1 Foundatation

N1 Limited

N1 RAHAMA

N1 SARA

BP

N1 SARA

N1 LEE

N1 BAKERY

N1 GROUP

Step 1: 1 hit is determined

SARA <> SARA

Step 2: Search terms (number of letters that match)

SARA <> SARA Search term = 100%

1 hit is successful

Step 3: Originating % (number of words)

Originating % = 1 (successful hit) / 5 (total number of SPL search terms) = 20%

Your originating % is set to 70%, so, it should not be a hit.

Please keep in mind that any time you change any configuration setting all the indexes should be regenerated (reset buffer, BP comparison terms, SPL comparison terms and aggregate).

I hope it is of some help.

Regards,

Debora.

If you debug the Comparison program you will find out that the Match is probably a real match, the problem is a display one.
