SPAM IMPORT Queue status: RUN_SPAU_?

Dear Guru's

my system is ECC 5.0 (IDES) , Oracle 9.2.1, window 2003server

when i applied support package KB64010.CAR which is BASIS patch,

the status of the queue shows:

SPAM status: center triangle with yellow color, (modif.Adujst)

Import phase : RUN_SPAU_?

1) giving the above message, can anybody pls tell me what does it mean,?

2) what is the further step that i need to take.?

3) what r the phases in Implementing support packs.?

4) Can u just tell me exact way of applying support packages.

Hi Ravi,

Just check SPAU and SPDD wheather there are any

requests under ' with modification adjustments' if no.

Then just import the queue.It will solve the issue.

Genaerally this step is for Adgestments & Modification at application level. Once this screen come we need check with functional people then resolve the isssue.

I you want to ignore this thing you can put this queue into Dialog mode automatically it will take you to SPDD screen, there you can skip this step.

Thease are support pack phases.

your in ending phase your support pack importing completed

you have run spau check to adjust object modification . after that you confirm the queue .

always run the test import before importing a support pack.

Restarting the SPAM import, or the system, will not fix anything! You are running an IDES system in which changes have been made by SAP to standard code. As the installation documentation for IDES systems clearly states "SAP does not provide support" to upgrading the IDES system, or applying patches to it.

When the SPAM update stops in phase "RUN_SPAU", you will need to do exactly that, i.e. execute transaction SPAU to resolve any conflicts between the new code and the existing code.

I think it's in the middle of applying support packs. Am I correct? You could restart the SPAM that would fix the problem.
