Longer response time after upgrade

Dear All,

Any particular T-code is taking longer execution time in ECC 6.0 after upgrade from 4.6c.Previously i was working on SAP 4.6c and now it is upgraded to ECC 6.0..Is it happenning due to upgrade or something else?

Hi Monoj,

After upgrade the responce time will be longer if you have not scheduled SGEN in your post upgrade activities.

Run SGEN and then try accessing the t-codes. SGEN would take around 6 to 7 hours. So please do it during off peak hours.

As anyone with a minimum of experience in IT knows, the purpose of any software upgrade is mainly to increase response times (so that subsequent hardware procurement can be easily justified).
