Balancing field 'profit center' in line item 001 not filled

Hi,

When a billing doc releasing to A/C system is showing following error

"Balancing field 'profit center' in line item 001 not filled"

Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled

Message no. GLT2201

Diagnosis

The field Profit Center marked as balancing is not filled with any va

in line item 001, even after document splitting.

System response

The document cannot be posted.

Procedure

First check your entries.

Additional causes could be:

o No value can be derived for this field from the current document

You have entered a document type that is not designed for this

business purpose.

i checked in line item details for this profit center it's appearing and cross checked with material master it's one and same.

pls suggest for solution.......

hey guys i've been struglling with the same, i found one solution that is

go to SPRO

Financial accounting(new)-GL acconting new- business transactions- document splitting-

Define document splitting characteristric for GL accounting

and remove TICK mark from Profit center(Field) for Zero balance and Mandatory field

this will solve your problem

do same with the segment field too

Plz check while doing posting entry Business Area are different , so that system gives error.

Give proper same Business Area.
