Unwanted files removing after SUPPORT PACK UPDATION

Hi Gurus ,

Kindly let me know how to remove the unwanted files and logs from the \usr\sap\trans folder after IMPORT SUPPORT PACKS .

Thanks noted , then what are the other files we can delete to get some free space in usr /sap /trans ,

Hi,

you can delete the files from /usr/sap/trans/log and /usr/sap/trans/tmp directory. I dont think any other files can be deleted from any other directory.

but you should leave the last modified files of both directory such as ULOG ALOG and SLOG

Hi,

You can delete the /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in files.

These are generated during support patch update

delete all the .att and .pat files from /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

and u can delete related log files from /usr/sap/trans/log

during the patch installation it will generare cofiles for that package.that also u can delete.
