PS need SD for pricing, account determination and billing point of view.
PS /SD integration is possible in different ways depending on business requirement: :
You may want to create a sales order and expect the system to automatically create project. This is possible by means of appropriate requirement calss of the material used in the sales order and by way of configuration of standard WBS and Network
You may create project first and subsequently the sales order for mile stone related billing. Here again sales order item category needs to be selected for fcilitating milestone billing.
Another method is that of sales orders which use strategy 21 materials.
DIP profile is another possiblity which is used for resource related billing.
Assembly processing is another method.
Item category, schedule line category, strategy group,Requirement type, requirement class, Account assignment category, Consumption posting, Special stock are the key words to be remembered
