MDM API's - Allow.ip and Deny.ip

Hello Experts,

I have got installed the MDM tech Addon for SP04 version in my ECC Side.

I have also made necessary configuration using MDMAPIC transaction.

I now want to mention the IP address of my ECC system in the Allow.ip.

I would like to ask whether this Allow.ip file is already present in the MDM server or we need to create this ourselves?( MDM version - SP04). Is this fiel dependent on the MDM version?

And after configuring this, is there any user mapping to be done ? And if so what are the necessary steps to do so?

Nitin,

You need to create the file allow.ip yourself. It won't be present already. Reagarding the User mapping, the user has to be created in the MDM Console. Refer to MDM ABAP API How to documents for screenshots to do this.

Please have a look on page 9 and 10 to see detailed informatin on the allow.ip and deny.ip files.

In general the files are not created on installation of MDM so u have to create them on demand.
