Reverse calculation based Pricing procedure

Hi can any body explain wt is Reverse calculation based Pricing procedure and Forward calculation based Pricing procedure

hi,

reverse calcu. wud mean u have the end price and know all the components to arrive at the base price. forward wud mean tht u knw the base price and the components and arrive at the end price. as much as i understand std SAP pricing procedures are forward calculation.

hi,

assume the two case as below

Forward Backward

Base Price 100 End Price 95

Discount 10 Tax 5

Tax 5 Discount 10

End Price 95 Base Price 100

In the forward u begin wid 100 and arrive at 95. In the backward u being with 95 and arrive at 100.
