new entry in SAP logon

hello,

Plz help me .

I installed SAP 4.7EE ,it was successfull.

1.Then how to create new-entry in SAPlogon ,after installing

SAP-GUI-620?

2.I need to enter anything in host file or ?

3.Before going to SAP logon screen ,we need to SAP R3

MAnagement?

Plz send me procedure with Screen-shots?

Hi,

if you want to create ne login then click on create item button on SAPGUI screen.

Then it will ask for the name of system and ip..asa name give any meaning gull name....then in IP address give your SAP server ip address...

then put your SAP SID : that you have define at the time of installation as for exmple :DEV or PRD...

then put the instance number : 00 it depends on which instance numbr u have installed.

then save it and login to the system

Port 3200 must be open for the client machine from where u want to connect tothe SAP server....
