new entry in SAP logon

hello,

Plz help me .

I installed SAP 4.7EE ,it was successfull.

1.Then how to create new-entry in SAPlogon ,after installing

SAP-GUI-620?

2.I need to enter anything in host file or ?

3.Before going to SAP logon screen ,we need to SAP R3

MAnagement?

Plz send me procedure with Screen-shots?

Hey MAruthi,

You have mixed with two different things:

1. Sap management is used to start the SAP system.

you should start the system before you are trying to logon with SAP GUI.

2. In the sap gui, you should enter the following parameters:

• Host (where you install the SAP system)

• System number (usually 00, unless you change it in the installation)

• SID - 3 letters which identifies the system, you entered them in the installation.
