FPM development

I want to develop FPM applications, by importing PCUI_GP.sca and ESS.sca into NDWS.

Using NWDI is not an option.

Have you done this and then successfully deployed to production ?

What I want to acheive, is to import PCUI_GP.sca and ESS.sca into the local development configuration, not use NWDI.

The local development configuration already contains 3 software components on installation of NWDS, the basic SAP ones, so should it not be possible to import 2 more .sca's ?

I have successfully developed and deployed ordinary WebDynpro applications without an NWDI installation.

Why is this not possible with FPM applications ?

What makes them different ?

Hello Henrik,

For creating FPM Applications you need to use PCUI_GP as a used DC in your custom DC ...therefore you need to create a track in NWDI and import this software component and then use it...

In the absence of NWDI, it is not possible to import those SCAs and utilize the DCs in the NWDS.
