Install SAP GUI for Vista

I understand that there is 7.10 patch 5 available for an upgrade to a GUI compatible with Microsoft Vista. Could i get the install instructions for this. Should this patch be installed over 6.40 or anr pre reqs? When i install i get a message that it cannot be installed or it has been already installed. This is the first time i went in for a 7.10 install. I have installed 6.40 already.

Hi,

SAPSweep is no longer supported with releases 6.40 and 7.10 and it is not required to run this anyway.

The installation of SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 checks for earlier versions of SAP GUI and in case it finds one it directly starts the uninstallation process. Only after this is finished the installation of 7.10 takes place. Therefore it is safe to directly upgrade to 7.10 without uninstalling 6.40 manually first.

if you have problems installing, you can run program SAPSWEEP first, then install SAPGUI 7.10
