Upgrade to SAP 4.7 Start_Shadow_First failed

Hi all,

We are currently performing an Upgrade to SAP 4.7 Kernel 640.

After the phases EU_IMPORTx the Shadow Instance can't start for the following raison :

The developpement and test system with the same release have been upgraded without any problem.

Any idea ? )

Hi all

I have solved my issue :

I'm stup...id but the parameter rdisp/bufrefmode was not set correctly according to the upgrade guide.

Make sure that parameter rdisp/bufrefmode has one of the following values

in the DEFAULT.PFL profile of directory \usr\sap\<SAPSID>\sys\profile:

Value Meaning

sendon,exeauto Your SAP system (<SAPSID>) has multiple instances.

sendoff,exeauto Your SAP system (<SAPSID>) has only one instance.
