Hello,
I'm trying to locate some models created by a colleague of mine. When I log in using my ID, I cannot see them in the 'Public' folder. When he logs in, he can see them in his 'My Models'. How can I bring/see them in the public folder using my ID?
Thanks
Sam
Model should be saved to public folder for others to access.
See page 12: <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/659c082e-0c01-0010-2e9f-ac674cfff2d2">Tech Op Manual</a>

Henning,
He has saved it in a custom folder. Does he have the option to make this folder public?
another question, if he saves it in the public folder, would it harm/ change anything in the portal. The models are already in the portal as dashboards. I want to transport these models through to production.
Thanks for your input.
Sam
I can't see that moving a folder is an option. Not in my version of VC at least. If I want to share a model I open an existing model and choose save as and save a new copy to a shared folder.
I transport my models to an older portal environment by importing the par files generated by VC. Hence moving a model is no problem.
As long as you keep all settings that has to do with deployment rules, I can't see that you should have a problem. Copy the model, do a small change, deploy and see if everything works. I guess you have a test environment...
