Can Business Connector and R/3 exist in same landscape??

Ok,

Business Connector is a standalone application that use jdk 1.3.08 for runtime.

There are two important things for R3 and BC live together:

- Hard Drives (Double growth for disk space)

- Ports for http services. (Usually R3 uses 8080 and BC uses 5555). Be carefull whith that point. They musn't have the same port for http services.

Yes, but is recommendable that SAP BC be found in other landscape.

but...it was before used as a middleware to connect with R/3....

so how come it can exist in same landscape..please explain me lil bit...

they are two different systems,it does not matter where they exist,we have XI and R/3 in the same landscape,infact they can be on the same physical server.
