debit process is used to collect money from the customer.

ex:in some case we had given some discount ot customer by mistake , in that scenario company wnats to take the amount back then debit note will be raised.

it helps you to collect money from customer for example you have given some 25 % discount but he suppose to get 20 % then istead of reversing the document you can give the debit memo.
