hi gurus!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have designed a page with header window, main window in which data would be fetched...
and footer window in smartform.
in header and footer window it is hard core printing which will not be changed .....
but in main window if the data comes in more than one page then i want the header to be printed on the top on every page then the next data of main and in the last of all footer window should be printed once......
plz help me in it....
Hi ,
Create a page with Header , Main , and footer windows.
also Cretae next page with Header , Main , and footer windows.
in both the pages overlap your main wondow on yout footer page.
Now count the number of lines fits in the main window when all the information fits in one page ( Just check how many lines in main wondow fits , Just count up to where footer window starts)
Now describe your table .
and take one count variable and increase by 1 in the loop.
In the footer window put the condition (v_count EQ v_lines).
Here problem persists when all the information fits in one page .
Then main window values and footer window values will be over lapped.
So you have to develop the logic accordingly.
For your understanding ';
Let us suppose that :
If you have 10 records and main window fits till the end of page but you have the footer . So you have to explicitly revoke the second page.
Revoke in such a way that First 9 items print in first page and 10th item and footer print in second page.
I hope you under stand the logic

One more thing is if you can put the Footer inthe min indow then you need not to write any logic for that.
In the conditions of the footer select the check box At the end of main window.

The logic you need to develop because when you print footer in the next page trhen the gap for the footer in first page should be filled up with main window data.
So keep in mind that
Just printing footer inlast page is very easy by putting condition (Either select Last page only or you can out your own condition like I sais V_count Eq V_lines)
Here v_lines is nothing but total lines in main window

you need to design 2 pages for this requirement..
one with only header and main window...
second page with header, main and footer window... print this page only at the end of all the printing....
