Satya,
For trnsporting the objects there are mainly two known methods.
1. File Transfer method
2. CMS method.
<b>File Transfer Method:</b>
In Integration Repository object:
Right click on the Namespace which you want to send to Quality/Production system and select the export optin and export it....this will create a .tpz file on the server following path
usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxi epository_serverexportsample.tpz
this file will be copied by the BASIS and pasted in follwoing path
usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxi epository_serverimportsample.tpz
<b>Similar procedure for directory</b>
Right click on the configuration scenarion in development which you want to send to Quality/Production select the export optin and export it....this will create a .tpz file on the server following path
usrsap<SID>SYSglobalxidirectory_serverexportsample.tpz
Then login to the IR of the Quality/Production select the <b>Tools--Import</b> option you will get this tpz file and import it and activate.

Hi Satya,
File level transport :-
Transportation in XI
while transporting any object say from Quality ssytem to production
You have to select the object to be transported in design do to the menu and set it to export.
this will then be transported to the out folder from the you have to move it to the in folder of the production and then from there you have to import the object in the design of the production system.
During transport ".tpz" are created.
Also check :-
Check this document for transportations using CMS and File transport:

HI,
There are two methods by which you do the transporation
1) File transport method which is manual method.
2) CMS transport method which is automated.
Once you have created SLD in Dev below transport mechanism is used for transporting the obj from DEV to QA and PROD:
Transport mechanism
1. Create Technical System and Business Systems for the QA system.
2. Create Transport Groups in the Business System.
3. Create Transport Targets in the Source Business SYstem.
Check the link for:
Configuring Transport Groups and Tranport Targets

Your SWCV can be exported and imported using TPZ files into the IR.
The ID also use TPZ files and as the objects are imported , the business system details will be filled up .
Refer How to handle SLD guide for help:
have a look on this Pdf .
Look at the below weblog for XI transports.
