hi...
what is the first step in BPM, i am not using receive step in bpm, what step will support for the first step,
regards,
PASI
Hi,
Is mandatory to put a receiver step how first step. first of all you can use Block, Fork and switch statement , but you need a receive message for starting a BPM.
For other hand you can put severals receiver steps in a BPM if you put these steps in Switch or Fork statement.

With Receive Step only the Process receive the message an instantiate the Integration Process. So there should be atleast one receive step...either it comes in Fork Block etc

Thanks

Hi,
The First step in BPM is Receive step. If u use fork, switch, loop then receive step becomes second step.In other cases it is the first step.

Pasi,
You have to have Receive step as your first step. You can not have other step as your first step.

Hi Pasi,
We use receive step to receive a message. By receiving a message, you are transferring the data it brings into the process. you can use receive step to start a process or within a process that is already running.to ensure that messages are assigned to the correct process instance, you can use a receive step to activate or use correlations.
so receive will be the first step in any case to receive data to the Business process.
