authorization related in ABAP and Basis

Hi All,

I am looking for a system generated sap role that contains all the

transaction codes except for transaction codes/authorization related in ABAP

and BASIS administration. Is there any role or profile for this generated by

SAP? Or should i create a new one from scratch?

Hi Sudhakar,

Usually companies create their own roles for system administration... all depending on the amount of task the basis/abaper person will be performing... ultimately a basis person should have a wide access to be able to troobleshoot any "issues"... at the end of the day most Basis people use SAP_ALL profile but auditors don't really approve this... hehehe...

Basically you should create a role for basis and a role for abapers containing the right amount for autorizations, unfortunately theres no SAP standart roles that cover the subject properly... you can use a some roles as reference like SAP_BC_BASIS_ADMIN role or look for administrator type of roles but to be honest the best is to start from the scratch..

I have used SAP_BC_BASIS_ADMIN role and removed some of the transactions
