is is what i know about web dynpro java or abap

Web Dynpro Java/ABAP are two flavours of the same programming model.

Web Dynpro ABAP is of course closer to the backend, Web Dynpro Java uses generally RFC or Web service backend connectivity.

Designtime tools are very similar as far as the Web Dynpro tools are concerned.

but i will sugguest u go for the language, you are more familar.
