Hi,

It comes under best practices. So if you create the IS it will be very easy for you to understand the and designe the business flow. Morevere becomes very easy while creating/configuring the Integration Directory, you just need to import the design objects form IR.

If you will not create IS, there is no harm. So it all depends upon client and also you.

Hi Kartikeya,

Using IS during configuration is advantageous as

You can use an integration scenario from the Integration Repository as a template for generating configuration objects. This takes you through the configuration process step-by-step. The objects required for the configuration are created and existing objects are checked to ensure that they can be used before including them in a configuration scenario. The relevant objects are predominantly created automatically. The whole process is logged so that you have a good overview and can analyze and understand the configuration.

The tool used to configure integration scenarios is referred to as the integration scenario configurator. This tool is called by following the undermentioned steps:

· In the menu bar of the editor, choose Display/Edit Scenario Integration Scenario Configurator ()

· In the main menu bar of the Integration Builder (Integration Directory), choose Tools Transfer Integration Scenario from the Integration Repository ()

If you cannot find a suitable integration scenario, you can create your own in the Integration Repository and then use it as a template in configuration.

The main features of using IS is:

Once you have selected an integration scenario (component view) from the Integration Repository, it is shown in a graphic. Within the graphic, you can select individual elements and call various different dialogs. By using the dialogs you can complete the configuration. You can do the following:

· Assign services to the application components in the integration scenario.

· Activate or deactivate sender/receiver relations in the connections of the integration scenario (see: Configuring Connections)

· Assign communication channels for sender/receiver relations to the connections of the integration scenario (see: Configuring Connections)

· Execute or simulate generation of the objects

Receiver determinations and interface determinations, and collaboration agreements are created using the relevant sender and receiver assignments and the message interface, interface mapping, and communication channel information contained in the connections.

I hope this will give you a better idea.

Shibani

*Pls award with points if helpful*

The integration scenario configurator supports the configuration of B2B scenarios.

Hai

Integration Senorio is the complete blue print of Integration , it is design aspect,

If we import I.senorio into Integration directory from Integration repository it will be more clear, configuration objects like sender agreement, receiver agreement, reciver determination, interface determination can be generated automatically.

or we have to create them manually.

Yes we do Configuration without IS.

But it wont harm the process

an Integration Scenario completely models the exchange of messages in a Simple/Complex Business process

The advantages of defining Integration Scenarios in the Integration Builder are:

1)The IS provides you with an overview of the process and the process flow

2)The IS club together all objects like SWVC,Interface objects, mapping objects, integration processes..

3)The IS gives you the design time information which is required for its configuration.

Hi,

If you do the itegration scenrio in Design time then you do not need to follow the stpes which is required in configuration like creating Aggrement, determination and all. you just need to import the scenario from integration repository that will avoid configure part.

Usually during the audit time the auditor checks whether IS is designed or not? as that is the good practive to design ur scenario with IS.
