Web Dispatcher Configuration/Management

Hi,

For scenario mentioned below:

System DEV(first system id) running on HOST1(host name)

System CON(second system id) running on HOST1(host name)

can we configure the Web Dispatcher to do load balancing for both the system.I am little sceptical about this, but want to confirm,have some opinions, if yes how do we design the profile paramters and port settings.

Hi,

you certainly can use the web dispatcher to do load balancing for both system. Just to be on the same page: Each system seperatly!

You can install the web dispatcher on a host, for each backend system you configure one web dispatcher profile and start the web dispatcher twice (once with each profile), now you can access the backends with something like http://webdisp:1080 and http://webdisp:2080.
