We would like to enable our users to maintain there own user attributes. It seems the default behavior, when "Manage_My_Profile" action is granted, enables the user to change there security policy to "Technical User" from "Default". If this disables the "Default" Security policy attributes, including password expiration days, then it doesn't fit our requirements.
Can modification of this attribute be disabled, without customizing the WDP application delivered with 2004s WAS?
Hi John,
See SAP Note 869852. There are patches for SPS's 11-13 and a fix in SPS 14.

Thanks Michael. At first I didn't see where the note addressed my problem, but then I found the exact symptom, with resolution. We will apply patch.
