Deployed iView used via CallableObject does not propagate its parameters

Hello,

i followed this popular <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/de/44/429bbd709914bce10000000a155369/content.htm">guide</a> but my iView does not propagate its parameters in the CallableObject configuration dialog.

The only parameter showing up is COMPLETE but i have defined ResultState_cancel and ResultState_ok with the appropriate event-bindings and button-configuration as well as the form-parameters (date, name, tel, comment)

i assigned the iview via COPY (tried deltalink as well) to a role.

if assigned via copy the role shows the iView as changed, it doesnt if added via deltalink. i dont know if this could be source of the problem ...

any help greatly appreciated,

kai

Hi Kai,

Have you put Start Point and End Point in your VC view?

hi ankur,

thanks for your reply. of course i did, i followed the guide step-by-step but neither the normal output parameters nor the ResultState_xyz parameters show up when integrating the deployed iView using the Portal iView-CallableObject.

Is there any issue or changed behaviour with the new SPs?

thanks,

kai

Hi Kai,

I am really not sure why this is happening. Can you try one thing, I am not sure about this too whether this will work or not.

Try deploying your VC by using the Web Dynpro Runtime. See page 8 of this doc to understand how this can be done:

<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/fc779d9c-0d01-0010-cb9e-a9f1d8b97973">Modeling Free-style Web Dynpro applications using Visual Composer</a>

Now create the callable object from WD4VC Application Type. See this link for understanding how this can be done:

<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/44/5d5634cae308f9e10000000a422035/frameset.htm">Exposing WD4VC Applications as Callable Objects</a>

Lets see if this works. If not, then you might need to wait for other users to reply

It seems I should have mentioned that i am using the WebDynpro Deployment in VisualComposer only.

Integrating the deployed iView using WD4VC actually works like a charme.

Does the GP Portal iView-CallableObject only support Adobe Flex iViews?

I am certain to have successfully integrated WD4VC using Portal iView-CO a while back...

Thanks a lot Ankur!
