Hi all,
can any body tell me the difference between PI and ECC?
As per my knowledge, If I want to work with R/3 and PI, I need to install PI and R/3 seperately. Will I get both included in ECC?
Please clarify me...
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Krishna.
Hai
ECC 6.0 is nothing but latest version of SAP R/3 4.7c and
PI 7.0 is the latest version of XI 3.0 lies process integration layer of SAP NetWeaver 2004s

Hi,
ECC stands for Enterprise Central Component and describes a business system.
PI stands for Process Integration and is used as an integration system.

hi Krishna,
ECC is the version of R/3(ABAP/JAVA Server)
PI is part of Netweaver which is seperate server and is an intermediate part to Integrate between SAP-SAP, SAP-NonSAP Systems (eg R/3 systems)
