Folks,

I am not a BASIS guy but will need to fill in for some time !! here is my first task....I wanted to do a client copy from QAS 210 to QAS 230.

I did an SCC8.

Now I want to copy the Cofiles and data files from the USR\trnas folder. We are on UNIX boxes can you tell me howthis is done ?

I will need to make sure that the authorization from the OS level( If at all any..iam not sure ) too are safe.

I plan to do an SCC7 on the new client to import.

Giude,please!

Hi,

In same system no need to perform client copy using client export/import

insted of that perform local client copy using SCCL

Hi,

use ftp to get the cofiles and datafiles, root user password required

cofiles and datafiles from \usr\trans\ corresponding folder

there are two cofiles and two datafiles which are generated during export (SCC8)

once you copy the files, you must import them using STMS or TP at OS level.

then, when this is completed, you run SCC7 as a last step. these instructions will be shown we you start the client export.

no. it will not affect source client.

note that you should start your client export while nobody uses this client on the source system.
