Update/Load Repository Issues after DB schema cloning

Former Member

Hi

We have cloned the following database schemas from Production (SP03) to Develeopment (SP04).

Normal Repository

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
pdc31124585_m000
pdc31124585_z000
Master Repository
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

pdc31124585Slave_m000

pdc31124585Slave_z000

Slave Repository

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PRODPUBLICS1_m000
PRODPUBLICS1_z00
We have performed the following activities
1.made the appropriate changes to a2i_xcat_dbs.a2i_catalogs table.
2.defined the user with appropriate password.
All 3 repositories are successfully mounted.
Following is the case, where I need your suggestions/views
Updating operation:
1.Update Normal Repository - SUCCESS
2.Update Master Repository - FAILED
Error Message: "Current MDM Server is no the Master/Owner"
3.Update Slave Repository - The option has been disabled in the context menu.
Loading operations:
1.Loading Normal Repository - FAILED
Here are the error messages
Load aborted with error(2214723593: Unable to modify database
and we get ORA-01031: insufficient privileges & ORA-00942: table or
view does not exist
Please help me understanding the root cause for the above issues and the ways to resolve them.
Thanks
Prakash
Hi Prakash,
the reason is most probably the cloning itself. Why didn't you use the archive option on your SP03 server and then unarchive on SP04 Dev? This is the way you should go with MDM!
