Hi
I have a system with pre-defined set of hardware installed on it. How to calculate the SAPS for this system.
Meaning of SAPS:
SAP Application Performance Standard (SAPS) is a hardware-independent unit that describes the performance of a system configuration in the SAP environment.
Regards
Kumar
Hey,
The result for CPU sizing is divided into requirements for the application and the database layer and is specified in SAPS (SAP Application Performance Standard), rather than GHz. SAPS is a hardware independent CPU performance unit devised to describe the throughput power of a server, as CPU measurements are highly configuration dependent. It refers to the SD standard application benchmark (www.sap.com/benchmark): 2,000 fully business-processed order line items per hour equate to 100 SAPS.
