File Adapter type..

Hello all..

when i make the adapter type as "file"..i get two options as FTP and NFS...can some one let me know the difference and also when as to when to use FTP and when to use NFS...cos at place i have used NFS instead of FTP and it has worked..??

Hi

If the target server/directory is mounted/mapped on your XI server you can use NFS protocol , if not, use FTP protocol to access the target system/server to write the output file.

Hi,

you use FTP if you send/receive you file with FTP adapter if not use the NSF to place the file inside your server filesystem

hi,

if you use this option

you can put/get your file

to/from folders on the machine that

XI (WAS that XI stands on) uses

you just give a correct path to a folder and that's it
