Hi Peter,

End-to-end monitoring comes under RWB, so u need this role:

<Your XIRWBUSER> must have the role: SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

i see now that the problem is that in the url, it doesn't use the full qualified name of the host but the short host name. I have define the full host name in the exchange profile and alert configuration works, so i don't understand why end-to-end monitoring doesn't work.

Add the following parameter to your instance profile in RZ10:

icm/host_name_full = host.domain.com

Doublecheck again the following:

(I amm copying this from OSS note 768456)

1. Sometimes the parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport is set to 5<sysnr>00. This is the wrong port, instead the http port of the Web Application Server has to be entered. It can be found in transaction SMICM -> GoTo -> Parameters -> Display (tpyically 80<sysnr>).

2. If you have changed the password of the XIRWBUSER at some point in transaction SU01, you have to maintain the correct password with the parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.serviceuser.pwd. See also note 721548 "Changing the passwords of the XI service users"

3. The parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost has to use the fully qualified host name. See also note 750287 "XI 3.0 Runtime Workbench: Alert configuration does not start"

4. You have made the changes, but they are not used at runtime. Please update the cache by calling the following URL: http://<J2EE-Host>: 5<sysnr>00/rwb/rtc?op=init
