Hi all,
May I know how do I determine a unicode/ non-unicode system? My SAP version is SAP R/3 Enterprise, SAP_BASIS 620 level 60.
When I checked in System --> Status. Under the SAP System Data, it says Unicode System: No. But when I go in to SM51 --> Release Notes, then under ICU Version, it says ICU Version :2.6.1 Unicode Version 4.0. Is this a unicode/ non-unicode system?
Please advise.
Thanks.
Hi San,
1. Once you log on to system then go to System\Status\
Shows 'Unicode sytem' - Yes/no
2. se38\rscping \ Shows Unicode or not
Hope it helps
Cheers

Hello,
Login to the target system and start transaction SE37.
Enter function module name: TR_GET_IS_UNICODE_SYSTEM "Test/execute" the function module.
The result given in parameter EV_IS_UNICODE_SYSTEM.
If "X", the system is unicode; if space, then it's not.
If function module TR_GET_IS_UNICODE_SYSTEM does not exist, the system is not
unicode.
