Tax Classification In Material Master

Hi all,

Can I maintain Tax Classification distribution Channel wise in material master So that it is possible to determine Tax Code in sales doc.Is there any altrnative way to detemine Taxes Distribution channel wise for perticular material

Balu,

It is very simple as others also have told. You just have to create a new condition table which includes the distribution channel also. For this condition table, you have to maintain the tax codes for the materials in VK11.

Thanks To all for your quick & valuable response. Please through the light on following scenario & suggest if any,

We have configured the service tax on freight for all pricing procedures & tax codes at client. But the client wants not to charge service tax for one material in particular distribution channels but other taxes should be calculated as per location of ship to party i.e. within state or out of state.

We have tried to maintain distribution channel wise tax classification in material master but it is not possible it updates to only one tax classification for all dist channels.

We have defined condition types ZST1,ZSE1, ZSH1 for Service tax on freight, Cess on ser. Hr. Ecess on ser. Respectively & maintained cond record in FV11 & access for it is Country & Tax code.

If we maintain dist channel in Access of utxj then we have to maintain dist channel for tax codes.

Hi,

Create the material master in the distribution channel, as in the earlier mail, maintain a new access distribution channel specific, then maintain the condition record VK11 to the new access.

For utxj condition type create a new "key combination" with "distribution channel" in addition to all other existing fileds. Using VK11 create new condition records (for utxj ) using new key combination.
