hi gurus
anyone tell me the difference between BDC and LSMW and their process flow , In which scenario they will use.
thanks
roby
Hai
i will give you a brief note
BDC you need abapers to write coding
for that as a functional you have to give him a recording in ( transcation code shdb)
but lsmw you can do by you self ( functional )
LSMW can be done by four method
1. using the standard batch input ( standard object defined by SAP)
2.batch input recording ( sample recording should be done )
3.BAPI
4.IDOC

if you want the data to be uploaded by the end user then go for BDC
create a tranacstion code with respect to a ABAP coding
if you want to give to the core team member go with LSMW
BDC are transportable where as LSMW not transportable
reward if helps

again depend upon
the client requirement for example
the end user do re engineering every month and he want to change the storage bin every month in the material master then you can give them a BDC
in case your client has some one time data or as and when required data and it will be updated by the core team member only then LSMW is the preferred one
Hi
the difference between BDC and LSMW is
In BDC we will have Call transaction method and session method to upload the data in to data base table from internal table
In LSMW we have only Session menthod to uploade the data.
