SAP Best practices installation and BC Sets

HI

We are in the process of uploading the best practices configuration provided by SAP. We have the following doubts

1) The BC sets will have default values (ie) Company code-001 etc. But the client requirment would be to create Company Code 1000. Whether this exersise to be done manually (or) is there any alternative method that SAP provides.

2) The Client requirement is to apply the Best practices configurations provided by SAP with customer required details. What are the precautions to be taken to do this?

HI,

There are two steps involved in Best Practices installation.

1. Personalisation Assistant - Used to define your own specific value (as in your case)

2. Installation Assistant - Used to activate the BC sets after your have personalised the value.

You would find both the tool in your Best Practices DVD or can be downloaded via service market place.

Hi Krishnan,

1) There is a step called Personalization which will incorporate the Customizing values. This is done using Personalization Assistant.

You need to download the personalization assistance along with the Documentation for BestPractices. This assistant will make ur life simpler.

2) which industry BP ur implementing. With respect to that, you will find a document.
